Brazil Jumps to the Top of 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying

Five-times world champions Brazil have jumped today to the top the International Football Association (FIFA) ranking, followed by World Champion Germany.

With Argentina in third place, they are accompanied by the world´s five best teams group, Switzerland (fourth) and Poland (fifth), who have reached the best rankings in their football history.

Portugal is in the sixth place, while Belgium (ninth) is the other team that qualified among the first 10. Chile occupies the seventh place and Colombia eighth. France is in tenth place.

The recently disputed CONCACAF Gold Cup caused some considerable motions in other places of the standing list. Jamaica (57), despite losing the final, climbed up 19 places during this month and also added the highest number of points (172).

On the other hand, the Champion United States (26) advanced nine places, Costa Rica (21) went up five and Mexico (14) advanced two.
