60 percent of the 15 million young people between the ages of 15 and 29 who currently have a productive occupation work in the informal sector, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

By age ranges, adolescents aged 15 to 19 show a level of unemployment of 6.9 percent and young people aged 20 to 24 years of 6.5 percent, while for the group of 25 to 29 years it is 5.1 percent.
