Only 4.3 % Brazilians Approve Temer Government

Only 4.3 percent of Brazilians consider the management of the government headed by President Michel Temer to be good and optimum, revealed today a survey commissioned by the National Transport Confederation to the MDA Institute.

On the other hand, 73.3 percent of the slightly more than two thousand interviewees in 137 municipalities of the country rated government performance as bad or very bad, and 20.3 percent considered it to be fair.

Widely disseminated in national media, the CNT / MDA survey also confirmed the low acceptance of Temer among the citizens because 83.6 percent rejected it by only 10.3 percent applauding its management.

In the previous survey carried out by these institutions in September last year, the positive evaluation of the Temer government was of 3.4 percentage and 75.6 negative.

The survey released today also asked about the military intervention in public security in Rio de Janeiro, decreed by the occupier of the Planalto palace on February 16. Sixty-eight percent of respondents answered that they agreed with the measure and 12.3 percent said they did not.

However, half of the respondents (49.1 percent) considered that this intervention will only partially solve the problem of violence in Rio de Janeiro, while 13 percent estimated that it will lead to a total solution.
