Chinese authorities have acknowledged the government of Mexico City for the care of panda bears, particularly in the Bosque de Chapultepec (Chapultepec Forest) Zoo in this capital, it was reported today.

China gave recognition for the conservation actions of this species, which arrived in Mexico 42 years ago, and has two females today at its care, in the Chapultepec Zoo. They are the longest species alive outside the Asian country.
Chinese ambassador to Mexico Qiu Xiaoqi said that in addition to the presence of panda in Chapultepec, this year marks the 45th anniversary of the relationships between the two countries, which is celebrated with several cultural activities.
